The Snow Queen came by again last night...

...and decided to leave us 2 feet of snow. I hate to be rude, but I hope it's her last visit until November!

The One World One Heart Event

Hi! Welcome to my blog. I’m so happy you decided to stop by, I hope you stay awhile.
My name is Mary Helen (artist of this and that) and I’m just thrilled to be a part of the One World One Heart experience again this year. This is the 5th (and unfortunately last) year that Lisa, over at A Whimsical Bohemian, has hosted this magical blog adventure. It’s so incredible that the event has grown to a whopping 1,000 + blog participants! I had such a great time last year visiting so many blogs, viewing some fantastic art and meeting some great new people. I hope you’re having an awesome time as well.
This year, my door prize offering is a little gothic bat ornament. It measures approximately 8” high by 4 “wide. I used acrylic paint to paint the face, then I cut some cute ears from a piece of black suede, wrapped the body in marabou feathers and added a pair of wings fashioned from a really awesome flocked scrapbook cardstock. The back of the wings has a coordinating paper that isn’t flocked. It’s finished with a red ribbon bow and also red ribbon for the hanger. I’m sorry the pictures aren’t that good; I’ll try and post some others. (This ornament is not meant for children as it has small parts)
If you’d like to be entered in the drawing for the little bat, just leave a comment and on Feb. 17th I will randomly draw a name from all the comments entered. It’s as simple as that. But do make sure you leave me a way to contact you, should you win.
Thank you again for stopping by, it’s been my pleasure and hopefully we’ll meet again. Have a wonderful day!
